Pierfrancesco Mucari
Pierfrancesco Mucari , composer, educator, graduated in Saxophone at the Conservatory of Vibo Valentia, studied privately with Orazio Maugeri and Salvatore Bonafede, travelled to the USA and in Boston studied with George Garzone and Hal Crook.
In the following years he was part of various ensembles, playing various genres, including classical music, participating as solo soprano saxophone with the symphony orchestra of the V.Emanuele Theatre in Messina.
He has taken part in 10 operas from the Italian opera repertoire, both as assistant director and orchestral player.
His collaborations include: Salvatore Bonafede, Orazio Maugeri, Dino Rubino, Luc Houtkamp, Daniela Schachter, Gianni Gebbia, Michel Doneda, Cristiano Calcagnile, Simon Rose, Giancarlo Parisi, Andrea Piccioni, Giovanni Mattaliano, Gianni Mimmo, Virgilio Sieni, Giuseppe Muscarello, Davide Valrosso, Davide Sportelli, Judith Sanchez Ruiz, Giorgia Di Giovanni, Agostina D'Alessandro, Milton Paulo Nascimento Oliveira, Samuel Lefeuvre, Chiara Montalbani, Manfredi Perego, Balletto di Roma and many others.
For the past 20 years, he has been following the path of experimentation, playing the whole family of Saxophones, the Sicilian scacciapensieri (Marranzano), the Indian Morsing, Hungarian Doromb, Russian Vargan and Estonian Parmupil.
He uses computers to electronically process the sound of his instruments.
